Crowded Hallway

Crowded Hallway
Victoria walked down the hallway. The bell had just finished being noisy, and it was time to get lunch. That had turned out to be a harder task for Victoria, seeing as she had forgotten where the cafeteria was. It was her very first day, and she had decided to just be stubborn for now and look for the cafeteria on her own.

Rachel was walking down the hall, trying to avoid being shoved around by the cruel, heartless people of McKinley High. Rachel wasn't too worried though--one day, they'd be parting for her like Moses parted the Red Sea. She noticed a girl she had never seen before looking lost. She must have been new. Rachel made it her business to know the faces of all of the school. She was at the girl's elbow in a flash with a wide smile on her face. "Hi! You must be new at McKinley. I'm Rachel Berry."
Re: Crowded Hallway
Victoria made a small jump in surprise when the girl appeared by her side. She didn´t think that somebody would just come randomly up to her and introduce herself, but it was a pleasant and very welcome surprise none the less. She eagerly nodded at the girl a couple of times. "Hi. Yes, I´m new... I´m Victoria Rogers." She seemed a bit relieved. "I was looking for the cafeteria.. I think.. it should be somewhere nearby, right?" she looked around, obviously quite lost.

"We're fairly close, yes," Rachel said brightly. "Here, I'll show you the way." She fell into step beside the new girl as she navigated her way through the hallway. "So, Victoria, is this your first day at McKinley?"
Re: Crowded Hallway
Victorias gaze took in the new surroundings while they walked. Often she was about to collide with some of the other students as everyone pushed their way through the crowd. She nodded. "Yes, I´m as brand new as they come." She answered with a wide grin. "How´s McKinley? Anything I need to know about the social life at this place?"

"McKinley's great! Wonderful classes and all," Rachel said. "As for social standings, you have your jocks at the top, namely the football team and Cheerios, who are the cheerleaders. You'll always be able to tell who they are. The guys wear their letter man jackets all the time, and the Cheerios are always in uniform. Then there's the normal crowd, and then the losers who all the jocks pick on." Rachel hesitated, then plowed recklessly on, "And Glee club is moving through the ranks." Well it was true. They were getting slushied less than they used to. And it couldn't hurt talking up the club.
Re: Crowded Hallway
Victoria quickly turned to look at the other girl. She blinked. "Oh, you have a Glee club? If I was able to sing I´d probably join, but... let me know if you need somebody to dance around in the background or play some music. I´m pretty good at playing the guitar." She said, flashing her teeth in a bright smile. She was very interested. "I suppose you´re in the club, since you mention it like that?"

Re: Crowded Hallway
Rachel grinned, excited. "Yes, I am. Actually I'm co-captain of New Directions." She glanced at Victoria. "You can dance? Because that you don't need to be an amazing singer to be in Glee. I've never heard my friend Mike Chang sing, but he is in Glee and he's our best dancer," she informed Victoria.
Re: Crowded Hallway
Victoria grinned at Rachel. Co-captain, huh? "Honored to meet you, miss Co-captain" she half-way joked, in a friendly manner. She seemed quite surprised at her next words. "How can one be in glee when they don´t sing? Isn´t the point of a glee-club that it´s a show choir or something like that?" she was admittedly not very knowing when it came to the art of singing.

Re: Crowded Hallway
"Show choir involves a lot of dancing as well, and you don't have to do solos if you don't want to. Background vocals are always good to have around and you really can't distinguish between voices that way ," Rachel said. "Not everyone is born for lead vocals, like I am."
