Emma's Office Empty Re: Emma's Office

Post  Karofsky Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:16 pm

Dave waited until Azimio and the other guys were sufficiently occupied before he made his way to the guidance counselor's office. Without knocking, he let himself into the office. He immediately turned the rod to close the shades on the window--the last thing he wanted was anyone to witness him sitting in here talking about feelings and crap. He didn't intend to say too much or anything, but he didn't particularly want any rumors to start.

He dropped into the chair nearest the door and waited for Ms. Pillsbury to start their session.

“Dave!” Ms. Pillsbury exclaimed, as she set down the watering can she was possessing. She always watered her orchids in the afternoon, caring for her orchids brought her unexpected happiness. Plus, they were the perfect distraction to all the drama and pressure that filled her life.

She was about to offer the bully to take a seat but he seemed to be in control of that already. She reframed from shaking his hand, she knew for a fact that he didn’t chose to lather his hands after doing number twos. Kurt had once told her that when he was listing off all the flaws of Dave Karofsky. Instead, she smothered her perfectly-manicured hands in her top of the line hand sanitizer.

“So,” she continued, she passed him one of her legendary guidance brochures. It read: “I want him in my bed.” When she saw the look on his face, she blushed a shade of red equivalent to the colour of her ginger locks. “Sorry!” she cried, bashfully, “Wrong one.” Emma handed him the one she was originally planning to give him, which said in huge font: “I want him dead.” It was a careless, meaningless mistake- right?
But she couldn’t shake off his face when he saw the previous one. Whatever, it didn’t mean anything.

“So…Dave, I just want you to start talking about how you feel when you see Kurt Hummel.”

When Ms. Pillsbury started to hand him a pamphlet Dave almost laughed remembering some of the ones he'd seen. Embarrassingly he'd been given the "There's a hair down there!" pamphlet himself years ago, thanks to stupid Finn Hudson. He'd retaliated by making sure that Finn got the "I Still Breastfeed....how old is too old" one, though. He wondered which one she was going to give him this time.

As Dave looked down at the title, he felt all the blood draining out of his face. "I want him in my bed". For a moment he forgot to breathe. He licked his lips nervously and wiped his suddenly sweaty palms on his pant legs. He closed his eyes, which was a total mistake because he suddenly envisioned Hummel sprawled out on his bed, looking up at him with lust filled eyes. Dave's eyes flew back open and he immediately began trying to think of something else. Like the fact that Hummel had told. Not just the weird little prep school boy, but someone who could actually destroy his life. He felt his rage quickly surpass the brief spike of desire.

He started to crumple the pamphlet it his hand but before he could Ms. Pillsbury had snatched it back and replaced it with an "I want him dead" pamphlet. The image of Hummel popped into his head again, though this time the boy's eyes were filled with terror. And damned if that wasn't the hottest image Dave had ever seen in his life.

Quickly Dave began to think of other things again. Football. Coach Sylvester. His grandmother. His grandmother and Coach Sylvester. Ew. Okay. That worked.

He realized that Emma had asked him a question and it took his mind a moment to catch up.

What did he feel when he saw Kurt? He almost laughed imagining what she'd say if he told the truth. He had little doubt that her "mistake" had been on purpose and she thought she knew how he was felt when he saw Kurt. But that didn't even begin to describe reality. Sure, obviously he felt the attraction--the lust--but that was just the surface. Towering over Kurt made him feel alive and powerful. But he could hardly tell her that, now could he?

So he just smirked and leaned back in his chair as though he were completely uninterested in their conversation. "Hummel? I don't feel anything when I see that kid. Does he even go to this school anymore?"

Post  Emma Pillsbury Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:04 pm

He was hiding something, she knew it. Karofsky was so misunderstood in her eyes and he may not have been the easiest to read but she knew something else was troubling him. She could easily have pointed it out by examining the gleam in his eyes and he shot back his response. But of course, she couldn’t just call it out there and then. He’d feel even more pressured and uncomfortable and she’d be disconnected and there was no time to that if she wanted to reach out to him.
“You must have noticed he hasn’t been here for the past few weeks,” she noted, stating the obvious. “I just want know what makes Kurt Hummel your favourite target. There are a lot of other potential, helpless kids at this school. I never see you bullying them anymore, it’s always Kurt…” she trailed off so she could attempt to read his facial expressions. Most aggressors would take what she just said as an excuse to bully a wide variety of students since she was commenting on the fact he was only tormenting one particular student. But she knew Karofsky had some darker feelings towards Kurt that she was anxious to encourage him to express.
“Anyways,” she continued, “what aspect of Kurt makes him more of a desirable target? You’ve always seemed so focused on torturing him. And I’m not accusing you, Dave, not at all. That’s not my job.” She pointed her dainty figure to the sign behind her. “That’s a code, for me as a guidance counsellor. I’m only allowed to nurture students and their problems. It may not always seem that way but it’s true.”
Her eyes followed Karofsky as he snorted at her. She leaned in across the desk, daring herself to get up close with the bully. “Also,” she whispered, “Everything you say is confidential. I’ll promise you no matter what you say, no matter how awful it may seem- I won’t say a word to anybody else.”
Then she leaned in a few inches close, “Plus, I could never judge you.”

Dave was getting confused as he listened to Pillsbury talking about other helpless kids. Did she want him picking on others? Not that he didn't enjoy throwing slushies and all, that was often the highlight of his day. But none of that compared to the feeling he'd gotten when he'd finally gotten to Hummel. That was part of it, he realized. Hummel wasn't helpless. At least most of the time he wasn't. Sure, he'd been a favorite target for years, but he'd always come right back up fighting. It wasn't until that day in the locker room that he'd ever seen Hummel actually affected by all the things that had been done to him. He'd always been indignant and proud until that day. That day he'd been scared. And Dave was the one who'd made that happen. Out of everyone who'd ever tried, he was the only one who'd ever been able to break Hummel down.

But that wasn't the sort of thing he could say, either. No matter what she said, he was sure that she was judging.

He mulled over his options for a few moments, trying to decide what he could say that would answer her without giving her anything too damning to work with.

"Have you looked at Hummel?" he finally asked, leaning forward in his chair. "He walks around acting like he's better than everyone else. You know he once told me that someday I'd be working for him? Can you imagine? Me. Working for that little fa--homo? He treats me like I'm stupid." He scowls as he folds his arms across his chest. "Besides, he comes to school wearing dresses and getting all up in my face. And..."

He suddenly clamped his mouth shut as though he'd suddenly realized that he was going to say something he didn't want her to know. He shook his head and sat back again.

But Emma was interrupted…
“Hey Ms. P,” Puck swaggered into the corky ginger’s office, “The Beiste wanted me to tell you that..” his voice trailed off when he spotted his teammate in the visitor’s chair. “Karofsky?” he question in total bewilderment, “What the hell are you doing here?” He crossed his arms and let his weight shift as he leaned against the wall, trying to give off the impression that he was the one who caught Karofsky in an embarrassing situation. “Did you find another ‘hair down there’?” he teased as he spoke in his best mocking tone. He snickered as he watched the bully’s face unfold into an expression of fury. Karofsky thought he was top shit, but really all he was some knuckle dragging, hair balled, Lima Loser.

Dave scowled at Puck. If he weren't already on disciplinary probation (the school board's punishment for his near expulsion) he'd totally smash Puckerman's face. "At least I have hair down there," he growled. He gave Puckerman a pointed look as he rose to his feet. He wanted Ms. Pillsbury to suss out the "secret" he wanted her to know, but couldn't exactly do that with Puckerman around. Though it would be fun to watch him react when he revealed what he intended to about Hummel (lies, of course, but not like she'd be able to prove it). Puck seemed to have some sort of attachment to Hummel, too, Karofsky recalled, thinking about how Puckerman had the nerve to call Hummel his boy. But still, his plan wouldn't work if he let Puckerman provoke him into losing his temper in front of the counselor.

Dave looked to Ms. Pillsbury. "We done here?" he spat, angry that his plan was going to have to be put on hold.

Emma's Office Empty Re: Emma's Office

Post  Emma Pillsbury Sat Dec 18, 2010 6:24 pm

“Noah…”, Emma sighed, she was very ungrateful for his outburst into her office, “Dave and I were discussing serious issues and I’d appreciate if you’d let us speak in private.” She was suffering from anxiety at the moment; she almost had Dave until the rebel barged into her office. In no way now was he going to be comfortable enough to express himself, Puck had thrown him off. He was moments away to confessing something and she could’ve use that as material to further nourish his issues.
Despite the colour of her hair, Emma was not known to throw a fit. But right now she was tempted to release her anger; she hadn’t been sitting in this chair all afternoon persuading Dave to open up for nothing. “Whatever Coach Beiste wants to give me, she can do so later.”, she said in a snapped tone.
Puck muttered something about Dave had to be looking at his junk to know how many hairs he had, she surveyed Dave’s expression as he spat out his remark. It meant something and she was determined to get him to confess it.
As the door slammed, she turned to Karofsky with welcoming eyes: “Now where were we? Tell me what you were about to say…” She leaned in, engaged with whatever the bully was willing to admit.

Dave glanced at the door Puckerman had just been shoved out of. He couldn't say anything if Puck could possibly overhear. Not that Puck would be able to prove anything, either, but he'd be more likely to be able to get Dave pissed off enough to let something slip.

"It doesn't matter anymore," he finally answered, his voice low and as subdued as he could make it sound. "Hummel's gone, so it's not like you could do anything about it now anyway." He folded his arms across his stomach as though he were feeling ill. "Just forget I said anything." He turned toward the door and muttered quietly, though making sure to be just loud enough that she should be able to barely hear it. "You wouldn't believe me anyway."

Post  Emma Pillsbury Sun Dec 19, 2010 11:54 am

Emma sat, motionlessly in her seat, her doe eyes blinking frequently. She almost had him, she had him in her grasp and she just let go and now he was gone. Her theory on Karofsky hiding something was so strong that she had felt some sort of sensation. She felt like she’d do whatever it takes to get him to come clean. She looked down at her Coach watch, it was 5:30 and she was off for the rest of the day. On a normal day she’d be out of the school in a flash but today, she remained lifelessly.
She was on a breaking point and she wouldn’t rest until she decoded the last few words that came out of the bully’s mouth: “You wouldn’t believe me anyways.” They echoed in her head and they seemed to be just increasing, rapidly in volume. To shut the voices up, she reached for her phone and dialled a number that she had never called before.
“Kurt,” Emma said into the phone, “I need to talk to you about something...yes, can you come here ASAP? I don’t care; I’ll drive all the way there if I have to.”

“Anywhere is fine, Kurt”, she insisted, Emma bit her bottom lip. “If you aren’t comfortable coming to the school because of…” her voice trailed off, “Just meet me at Breadstix, I’ll make reservations. Don’t bring your money, it’s my treat.” She then hung up the phone hoping that she had made the right decision. She told herself not to worry, it’ll be all worth it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the whole Karofsky fiasco, Emma was feeling immensely restless and very unconfident. But she still had this fiery determination to reach out to some student and to assist them; she was a guidance counsellor after all.
So she decided to take baby steps, well that was her plan in the start. But that’s before she thought of a genius plan. She was going to reach out to a teenage girl. A teenage girl that came across as someone who was drop dead gorgeous and over flowing with glowing confidence, but underneath it all she was a tad insecure and frightened.
That girl, she thought was…Santana Lopez.
Maybe Emma was making assumptions far too quickly but regardless Santana Lopez needed a talking to. Her sexual behaviour and aggressive nature was intolerable. So she sent a message for the secretary to call Santana down to the office.
She smiled with relief, this would be a fresh start…
Santana walked into the office in her Cheerio's uniform and looked at Mrs. Pillsbury and didn't sit down, she just stood in the doorway wondering why in the world she would be called down here. She was passing all her classes, barely, but still passing, and she hadn't broken any rules recently that she could have been caught for. She rolled her eyes and stared over at the women behind the desk. "Why was I called down here exactly?"
[Sorry, my mom made me go to bed last night early last night because I almost fell asleep during one of my classes. I had a big science test this morning and she wanted me to be focused...blahblahblah. Mothers. *shakes head*]
Emma was immediately struck by Santana’s attitude; this may not be as easy as she had hoped. Her plan was to advise the message in a sugar-sweet manner and if all fails, she’d have to become a little more forceful.
“Santana, please sit.” she said, ushering for the Latina beauty to take a seat. As she did so, she reached across the desk for some anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and diligently started cleansing her hands.
“I’ve had some sessions with a group of anonymous students that claim your behaviour be too…exciting.” Emma couldn’t think of a sweeter word for sexual.
“You have seemed to have been…involved with many guys around the school. It seems to have grown into a preferable past time for you.” She gulped, as she felt Santana’s beady eyes stare her down. Emma searched for something in her office to look at so she could avoid awkward eye contact.
“Can you briefly tell me why you are interested in being involved in such a manner?”
[It's totally fine! Smile]
Santana groaned slightly as she was asked to sit and sat down in one of the chairs, staring at Mrs. Pillsbury, waiting for her to talk. As she started explaining why she was called down here she raised an eyebrow at her wondering who has been talking to her about what Santana has been doing. "Um, Yes I do seem to be involved with a few guys around this school." She says, looking down at her nails boredly. "I don't see a problem with it though and I don't see how it affects anyone other than me and those guys." She says, looking back up at Mrs. Pillsbury. "So can I leave now?"
Okay, so maybe she had to be a little more direct. Santana, clearly, wasn’t receiving the message in a way that she liked. Look at her, she was already bored as hell and the minute Emma excused her she’d be out of there in a flash.
She impatiently tapped the face of her desk and started mentally pacing.
“No, well…Santana,” she said more sternly, “It doesn’t only affect you and these guys you have flings with. It impacts many pupils of our student body. Your behaviour is intolerable and immensely inappropriate. At this age it is hard enough for boys to concentrate with all the flaunting you girls tend to do but for you to totally disrespect that and play with those issues, is far from okay.” She inhaled a gust of air before she continued:
“Also, its been a confirmed fact that you really get around and what’s mostly disturbing about that is that you do it despite the outcome. You’ve been going around sleeping with guys that have girlfriends. I think you’re lacking self-respect. Like don’t you feel shameful? Do you even consider the consequences, Santana?”
Emma’s doe eyes blinked as she carefully listened to what the ex head cheerleader had to say.
Santana just stared at her. Just stared and didn't talk for a while after she stopped talking because she was thinking. Should she feel bad for what she does? She has felt bad before about sleeping with a few people but when that happened she usually just went and found Puck and they talked and they they got it on. She shook her head. "No...I don't feel shameful." She said shaking her head. "And have you talked to the guys that do this in this school? Because I sure as hell know I am not the only person in this entire school who likes pleasing myself and others." She says with a shrug.
[Haha, LOL. The endless possibilities…hmmm. Maybe Emma should call Brittany down? That’d be pretty amusing.]
Emma closed her eyes and searched for what she thought was the right thing to say. “I’m fully aware, Santana, you aren’t the only one who’s been…getting around.” She felt the temperature in the room increase, as she turned to look out her office window. She knew that this kind of topic made Emma painfully nervous as she received vivid flashbacks of her potential sex date with Will Schuester. As time passed, she still was indeed a virgin…
“But,” she continued, “you are most definitely one of the worst and it’s not just the fact that you really getting around. You’re overall behaviour is atrocious, Santana. You’ve been blurting out offensive quirks, teasing guys with that short hem of yours…like Carl? Every time he steps in the same room as you, you let out some inappropriate comment on how he can drill you?” She shook her head, “Or how about admitting to everyone in the glee club about you and Finn last year and tormenting Rachel, who was already heart broken about it?”
The tension in the room thickened. “In most cases, I hand back people brochures but not you…why don’t we start this?” she leaned over the table and passed her a compressed package of penny loafers, an argyle sweater, and knee high socks.
“The way you take advantage of that cheerios uniforms is disgusting and yet very distracting to some,” she watched as Santana stared at them in utter loathing of the clothes in front of her. “You always tease Rachel for dressing like the acceptable, appropriate school girl so for the next few weeks- this will be consisted in your wardrobe.”
"Okay! First of all, when Finn and I had sex he was not dating Rachel. He was single, therefore, Rachel had no reasons to be heartbroken about it." She said with a shrug. "It's not my fault she won't put out for him." Santana looked down at the horrid clothes placed in front of her, the kind of clothes that would never be found in her wardrobe. "Are you serious?" She asked, looking from the clothes to Mrs. Pillsbury. "You are expecting me to wear these?" She asked as she gestured to the clothes. "Can you even legally do that?" She was hoping that she couldn't because she definitely did not want to be caught dead wearing those.
Emma simply nodded her head yes and her face tugged into a strained smile. “Yes, I do expect you to wear these. I already talked about it with the principal and even Coach Sue.” She urged the awful attire closer to her, reliving her unusual conversation with Sue Sylvester.
She was almost sure that Sue was going to laugh in her face and call her by ‘Elmo’ or some sort of E name that doesn’t belong to her but she just flashed her, her signature Sue wicked grin and insisted that she thought it was a splendid idea. Sue had claimed that since Santana was no longer head cheerio and had gone and pumped her melons up without her permission it was what’s best. This had also been followed with a lecture coming straight from her Sue’s corner segment on how terror was like mother’s milk to a child.
Emma loathed Sue but she couldn’t help but to agree, in this case.
“Now, you are free to change in my closet…it may not be best for you to change in the girl’s washroom, I hear that Lauren Zizes girl had really dropped a nuclear bomb.”
She shuddered at the thought of it all and then gave Santana a friendly wink.
