The Choir Room Empty Re: The Choir Room

Post  Will Schuester Fri Dec 17, 2010 3:34 am

Will Schuester's day had seemed bleak when he woke up in the morning. The space beside him where is ex-wife used to sleep was empty. He was alone, but content with his loneliness. Sometimes. During Christmas it had been harder for him to be alone and he was overjoyed when his students showed up to celebrate the holidays with him...though it was a little creepy. Especially because Rachel and Puck were Jewish and were there to celebrate Christmas. He shrugged it off easily and sat down at the piano, sliding his fingers over the keys. He couldn't wait to begin talking to the kids about the set list for Regionals. He had already been imagining a Journey song they hadn't performed yet...maybe even something that really proved New Directions was unique and deserving of the win.

The Choir Room Empty Re: The Choir Room

Post  Sammy Evans Fri Dec 17, 2010 2:34 pm

“’Sup, Mr. Schue!” Sam greeted his favourite teacher as he entered the choir room. He looked around in bewilderment when he discovered he was the first glee club member there. Usually, along with the other guys he was the last because football practice always ran late. Coach Beiste was really working them like dogs so they win their next big game. Sam, in particular, spent extra time on the field. He was determined to restore his role as quarter back. Finn was his buddy and everything but he believed that in order to receive the official title as most popular guy in school he needed a cheerio captain girlfriend and the position as quarterback. The title was once his, when Finn was kicked off but he couldn’t have hold on to it for long. After his injury, he was so determined to make quarter back again he convinced himself he’d do anything. Anything. Even if involved standing in Finn’s way for happiness, I mean he was already messed up after his breakup with Rachel. He had to find a way to keep the candle of bliss burn out for a while.
What was he saying? How could he be so cruel? Finn was so friendly and welcoming on his first week at school and he helped build up his rep and get the hottest chick at school, Quinn Fabray. He even helped him with his football skills and his musical abilities. Now he was on top of every aspect of his life and he had to give some kudos to Finn. So why was he so anxious to crush him? Maybe because he was his only competition?
Or perhaps he was on to his dirty little secret, Sam slammed down his books on the chair, everyone was bound to find out. How could he keep up this little act? The whole school was going to find out and then that would be it. Karofsky would kick his ass all the way to Dalton, and there was no way he’d go back there. No way in hell. The fear and anger swelled up inside him, he knocked the music stand over as it made a large crash.
He stood there awkwardly as Mr Schue turned over to meet his gaze, “Um, so what songs are we singing today Mr Schue?”, he asked.

The Choir Room Empty Re: The Choir Room

Post  Brittany S. Pierce Fri Dec 17, 2010 3:25 pm

Brittany walks into the choir room in a daze. She feels a little lost without Santana or Artie. This was the third room she had entered before she had finally found the room she was looking for. She smiled blankly at Mr.Shue and that blonde kid. What was his name? Sim? She just knew him as the new guy that wasn't getting any from Quinn. She sat in the chair she always sat in and waited for the cool people to get here. She examined her nails quietly and hummed a random song. She would now just sit here and nod because I am leaving in ten minutes and just wanted to post her somewhere.

Post  Will Schuester Fri Dec 17, 2010 3:57 pm

Mr. Schuester looked up from the piano keys and grinned as two of his students entered. One of them was Sam, a newer member to the group, but valuable all the same, and the other was Brittany, one of their talented dancers. He stood up from the piano bench and made his way over to the white board. "This week's assignment is going to be something I think you'll all enjoy. That is, if you like Disney films, which I believe is a must to be here. AmIright?" He glanced over the two and cleared his throat when there was no response. "I know Disney isn't very 'masculine' as you may put it, but there songs are iconic. They're stuck in our heads from the day we started watching them at ages 4 through our teenage years and up. I know some of you must watch some Mulan, maybe a little Lion King as a guilty pleasure. However, I've decided against letting you choose your own because I know there would be a million repeats of one song and that's not productive." Will paused and clapped his hands together in excitement. "So, to avoid conflict, you'll draw a movie from a hat and pick a song from said movie. If it ends up being a duet, pick a duet partner. Sound wonderful?"

Brittany spoke up "I thought I was Ariel until I was 10. Then I tried breathing underwater and almost drowned. I was mad my sea father took away my ability to breath in the water. I want to go back to living under the sea." She was completely serious as she spoke. She then returned to the examination of her nails.

Post  Head Admin Fri Dec 17, 2010 4:19 pm

Quinn entered the classroom just as she had heard Brittany speak about being Ariel. She rolled her eyes lightly, though she wasn't surprised that her fellow Cherrio had thought such things. One thing was for sure, Brittany had quite the vivid imagination. Sitting down on one of the chairs, she flashed Sam a warm smile before glancing at the board. Disney? They were doing Disney? It was rather surprising, but a very welcome change. If anything, she was more than happy to be moving away from Journey. She waited for the other Glee members to arrive, but was more than anxious to find out what movie she would have to do. There were so many good ones, with so many classic songs, and the whole assignment seemed more than fun.

Rachel stalked into the classroom behind Quinn, slightly out of breath, but babbling at top speed. "So sorry I'm late I was slushied again and I couldn't come to Glee with a mushy drink running down my shirt. Anyways we really need to get a set list set up for Regionals and no offense Mr. Schue, but Journey is getting quite old. I reccomend we start with-" She stops in her tracks as Mr. Schue's words register. "Disney? We're singing Disney?" she asks incredulously.

The Choir Room Empty Re: The Choir Room

Post  Sammy Evans Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:13 pm

Sam’s face broke into a flirtatious smile as his girlfriend entered the room, he watched closely as her hazel eyes rolled lightly to the back of her head. He thought of those eyes that he claimed to love so much. When Quinn took her seat, he leaned over to her and whispered in her ear: “If I was ever Prince Charming you’d be my Princess.” Okay, so he was fully aware that he was being cheesy but Quinn seemed to be eating it up these days. You’d think that he’d just aim to be himself around her after he passed the awkward, “are we more than friends?” stage. But no, he had to prove to Quinn that he loved her and he wasn’t going to give up on adoring her now. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek, and started mindlessly at the clock, waiting for the others to arrive.
As the clock slowly ticked away, he contemplated on what Disney song he might be obligated to do. As a kid he loved Toy Story & Bugs Life but he was sure there were no songs for that. He prayed that whatever it was, it wasn’t too embarrassing. I mean, singing Disney was already uncool as it is…if Karofsky and the gang caught him singing some sappy coated song about believing in dreams coming soon or whatever, he’d probably be asking for another blue slushy stain in his boxers.

The Choir Room Empty Re: The Choir Room

Post  Will Schuester Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:30 pm

Will looked at Brittany with a puzzled expression on his face. The girl never ceased to surprise him. He shook it off though and took his wonderful white board marker, writing Disney up on the board in big capital letters. "Yes, Rachel, we're doing Disney. It's an exercise that will help your experience with choreography and how you arrange the song to fit your style," he said with his back turned to the babbling girl. He knew that she would have some type of objection, but he'd learned to deal with it. "We'll get started on the set list as soon as possible and, trust me, I know your hatred of Journey, but I don't want us to focus on show tunes. Other groups will focus on the traditional and we need to set ourselves apart. So, in honor of being different, I want everyone to draw a name of a Disney movie from the bowl at the front and, by tomorrow, I want to hear what song you will be singing. Performances will be next Friday and I will post the performance schedule on Thursday. The hard part of the assignment is that I want you to change the style of the song you've chosen. I want to see it represent the very essence of, well, you. So, let's get started. Rachel, why don't you pick one first since you're so eager to state your opinion?" Will grinned and gestured to the bowl.

[I am going to randomize titles of well known Disney movies, so just have your character step up when called and I'll PM you your movie.]

Post  Puck-Inactive Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:33 pm

Puck strutted into the choir room like a boss. He exchanged a brief sup nod to Mr. Schue as he swaggered over to his chair. After, an endless Hanukah with the family full of joyful times, heart-warming and shit, he was finally relieved to return to his kingdom. He puckered his lips at Brittany and gave her the look to say “How you doing?”. Puck looked her up and down and admired her short cheerleading uniform in which seemed shorter then he remembered. He had missed his crunchy toast. Brittany and him were never in a legitimist relationship but she was fun to fool around with and she really knew how to please a guy, if you know what I mean.

He ogled Quinn Fabray, his former baby mama, fighting of the temptation to refer to her as his milf and punch that Sam dude in the face. Look at him with his arm around her acting like he was top shit, puh-lease. This guy was nothing but a total noob, and no way Puckzillia was going to be intimidated by fat liped Bieber. As far as badasses go, he was number waaa.

Rachel was questioning something to Mr. Schue about song selection or some sort of crap like that but he wasn’t really listening he was too busy checking out her ass which according to Finn was pretty damn fine. When he heard the word Disney, he let out a smirk.

“Disney, are you serious? Are you planning to make us live up to our name Homo explosion?” Okay, so maybe he was a tad guilty he made up their nickname but hey if they kept holding hands and singing songs about animated Princesses and crap, he was not afraid to torment Mr. Schue on manning up a little.

Rachel blushed furiously. "Actually, I don't hate Journey. It just gets boring singing songs from the same band over and over. And I happen to love Disney, thank you very much. I was just surprised we were actually doing something most of us can relate to," she snapped. She stepped to the bowl and reached into the bowl, fishing around while hoping she drew something good.

So that was it, they were doing Disney. Frickin' Disney. Oh lord, he was so not down with this. It was total bull, he raised a bushy eye brow as he watched Rachel pick a name from the fish bowl. Dayum, he thought to himself, Rachel does have a super fine ass. Especially in those tight, short skirts. Wink

Quinn turned her head slightly towards Sam, chuckling lightly from what he said. As corny as it was, it was rather sweet. She loved the fact that there was someone who seemed to like her for who she was, though sometimes she couldn't help but wonder if it was because she was head cheerleader. Sweet little comments like this though helped to diminish those fears. "That was better than some Avatar line," she said with a grin. She reached over and squeezed his hand lightly, then turned her attention back to Mr. Schue, eager to hear more about the Disney songs.

Quinn looked rather amused when Rachel entered, for she had known that Miss. I-Want-Every-Possible-Solo was not going to like their next musical focus. Oh, then Puck. She avoided looking at him for she believed keeping up with avoiding him was for the best.

She felt rather excited for the performance, and couldn't help but hope that Rachel failed. Because Rachel seemed to have issues with the assignment, Quinn only hoped that it would work to her benefit.

Post  Finn_Hudson Fri Dec 17, 2010 5:52 pm

Finn hated his math teacher sometimes. So he had failed a few (okay, most) of the quizzes this year. It wasn't like he ever planned to use math in his life. He wasn't 100% sure what he wanted to be in his life, but he knew for sure that geometry wasn't going to be involved. After being held after class to "discuss his future" or something like that, he was running way behind. Dropping his books in his locker, he moved as fast as he could to the choir room. "Sorry I'm late!" he apologized as he fumbled through the door. "Mrs. Rolson kept me after geometry." he grabbed the first empty seat he saw and tried to catch up with what was going on. "Disney? Cool, I loved those movies when I was little."

"Duuudeee..., wassup, Hudson?", he gave his former best friend a friendly hi-five. Then he whispered something to Finn: "You were totally right about Rachel. She is totally smoking. And a hot jew." He raised his eyebrows, playfully. "I didn't really get what you saw in her because she made me want to club myself everytime she opened her big mouth. But she has one sexy ass body." He demonstrated with his hands, curving them in a fashion to resemble a woman's curvy body. "I mean, she's no Santana but my laday's away right now and you can't pin Puckzillia down to one woman." He raised his eyebrow and watched as Finn stared at him in astonishment. "I was thinking of putting the moves on Rachel. I always did like a lil something something on the side."
Puck was too carried away explaining his master theory to Finn he didn't even notice that his voice was increasing in volume while his best friend was increasing in rage. "I know you're done with her but what do they say? One man's trash is another man's treasure." Puck gave him a quick wink with a spirited nudge on the arm. Wink

Rachel finally pulled a slip of paper from the bowl. She was about to open it when she caught wind of what Puckerman was saying. "Do you have something to say to me, Noah?" she asked, knowing he hated his first name. "If so, then say it to my face, thanks." She turned and flounced back to her seat, stopping to step hard on Puck's toes.

Santana walked into the Choir room for Glee Club with a big smile on her face. She was happy to be back from break, mostly just because she got to see friends and socialize though, not for the school work part. She walked back to her normal seat by Brittany, passing Puck on her way and giving him a wink. "Hey, Puck." She said softly and sat in the chair behind him and over one, next to Brittany.

Mercedes entered the room smelling fresh and clean. "Ah, thanks to Kurt's suggestion of bringing a handy dandy Slushie Clean-Up Kit, I'm ready." She caught on with everyone's conversations quickly.
Oh Lord, Disney? DISNEY?
Sure, she could rock Poor Unfortunate Souls like the best of 'em, but randomly picking any movie out of a hat?
What if she had to dress up like a princess or something?
Oh yeah, Puck would get a laugh out of that. But she decided to play it cool, and just sat down until everyone else had taken a turn.

Hearing Puck's little speech made Finn's blood boil, and also wonder if the guy was high and/or drunk. Both were a good possibility. But that didn't make what he said okay. Finn stood up and made his way over, staring straight into Puck's eyes with his scariest face so it was clear that he was serious. "Don't talk about her like that." he said furiously. "I mean it Puck, keep your damn mouth shut or I'll kick your ass right here."

Mr. Schuester ignored the high school banter that occurred around him and instead only picked up on what the students said directly to him or about New Directions in general. "Puck, you've got to become comfortable with getting out of your comfort zone. There are plenty of empowering male songs in Disney animated films," he said with a small half smile. "Alright, Rachel, tell us what you've picked and then Santana can come up and pick hers."

Lauren walked into the room, throwing away her finished bag of chips before she sat. "Sorry I'm late," she spoke, although part of her really wasn't sorry. She'd told them she didn't even like Glee club, and it was sort of true, so she attempted to keep up that appearance in every way possible, and being late was one of them.

She did tolerate Glee club, however. They'd been in need of a 12th member after Kurt transferred, and Lauren was always willing to help out.

She glanced at the whiteboard as she sat. "Even I have a soft spot for Disney," she commented.
