Hoping he wouldn't make any noise, he stepped out of his car and walked to the house's porch.

Strangely enough, he missed this place and not only for Rachel. Her parents had always been very nice to him.. and they had the best cookies in the whole world. For a second, he contemplated the possibility of breaking into the house and stealing the cookie jar but soon realized that being awake at five in the morning wasn't healthy to him, especially after all that time driving to get there.

With one last glance to her window, he went back to his car, making sure the card and the envelope were well attached to the doorknob.

"Happy birthday, Rachel," he whispered just before driving away.

Rachel woke up and stretched, yawning. She smiled when she realised that it was her birthday, a day all about her. Which is of course, her favourite kind of day.

Throwing on a robe and slippers, Rachel made her way to the front door, intending to get the morning paper for her dads. Opening the door, she noticed a card and envelope attached to the doorknob. She reached for them, wondering why they wouldn't have been put in the mailbox.

Rachel opened the card first. It was a birthday card from...Jesse? she thought, confused. She had been under the impression that he wanted nothing to do with her anymore. Still slightly confused, Rachel reached for the envelope and opened it tentatively.

Her breath caught. A pass good for two tickets to West Side Story on Broadway. It was her favourite musical and favourite place rolled into one.

Rachel backed into her house, paper forgotten completely. She was still staring at the two tickets in her hand. She caught sight of the fine print underneath. Clearly they weren't meant for her to take Finn. But what was she supposed to do? Take Jesse? That was obviously what he wanted, but why? She thought he had made his thoughts on her clear with the egging in the parking lot. Rachel's eyes burned at the memory, but she forced herself not to cry.

The only thing to do would be to talk to Jesse. She had to know why. She went back upstairs into her room and grabbed her cell phone. Flipping through her contacts, Rachel found Jesse's number, which for some reason she had not deleted. After a brief hesitation, she sent him a text.

Hey Jesse. Would you mind meeting me at the park later? We should talk. -R

With a sigh, Rachel placed her phone back on the night stand and went back downstairs for breakfast.

[Ok, I do hope the boys see this...but since you guys are at Rach's house I figure it should go here.

This is continuing the scene from where Puck and Sam get drunk as hell.]

Rachel was in her dining room when she heard noises coming outside her house. She padded through the front room in robes and slippers and looked out through the peep hole. She saw figures in the shape of teenage boys and opened the door curiously just in time to see Sam vomit into her bushes. "Sam?!" Rachel screeched. "Noah? Finn? What is going on here?!"

Finn frowned, his eyes going wide with fear. "Fuck fuck fuck!" he muttered to himself. "Baby, I'm sorry. They're drunk and I tried to keep them at Puck's but they're both IDIOTS and wouldn't listen!" he glared at Puck and Sam, frolicking around without a care in the world. "Guys, you're not helping me here!"

Sam was so wasted his vision had blurred. He was certain he couldn’t count how many beers he had even when he was sober. Sam snatched his phone and started texting gibberish to the last person in his inbox. Which to his dismay, happened to be Kurt…

He and Puck took part in a game of monkey in the middle, and Finn just happened to be the monkey. They started tossing the keys back and forth preventing Finn to posses them.
Suddenly, a small figure a rose from the shadows and she seemed pretty mad or something….

He continued to doddle around with Puckerman as they swore like sailors and sang songs from Elementary school. He didn’t even know where that came from, he just felt like doing it…. That’s when he recognized the girl.

“Heey guuurl heey!”

Kurt didn't want to take a chance looking at his latest text message while he was driving Blaine's car, so he handed his phone over to Blaine to check it, just in case Sam happened to have thought to send them a definitive location to find him. He was headed to Rachel's house because that seemed to be the place his drunken friend(s?) thus seemed the most likely spot where he actually would find them. "Please tell me that he's messaged to tell me where exactly he is...and that he's drinking coffee and sobering up..."

Blaine took the phone from Kurt and checked the most recent message from Sam. He blinked. Unless 'sbxgewtfdtwefdytefd23yfytw3fy' somehow translated into 'Don't worry, Kurt. I'm at Rachel's house with coffee, behaving myself and sobering up,' then there was no way that Sam was doing any of those things. "Well, he said he broke your promise," he noted, not quite sure of what that meant but he figured Kurt would have an idea as to what the promise was.

As sober Finchel stood there in complete bewilderment, Sam decided it was time to really pump up the sexuality in this party. Wasted as ever, he staggered over to Puck who was lying flat on his face on the ground. He was completely and utterly motionless...
Sam went down on his knees and for how intoxicated and tipsy he was he toppled over and landed straight on his ass. That's when spontaneous images of what pleased Sam in a most undapper fashion. Images that not even Coach Beiste could help disappear.
He leaned over and started sucking on Pucks ear. First it was sucking and then it was more like he was gawking and chomping at his ear lobe. "Oh...KURQUINN!", he moaned. He really put his vacum-like, lady lips to work.
Sam was a champ alright.

Kurt's brow furrowed. "He broke my promise...? Is that even possible...?" He wracked his brain trying to remember exactly what sort of promise he had even made. He didn't remember making any to Sam at all. Or really Sam making any promises to him that might've been broken. Unless Sam was trying to say that he hadn't stayed put. He groaned. "I told him not to move. I just hope he's not making a total fool of himself..."

He rounded the corner onto Rachel's street, just a few houses away.

"Oh dear Lady Gaga..." he muttered, wincing as he spotted Sam and Puck...what the hell were they doing? He pulled over and parked the car, giving Blaine another apologetic look. It seemed that their perfect night was devolving into a night where they were going to be babysitting a very drunk Sam. He was really sorry that this was how Blaine was going to meet Sam. "He's...normally a really good guy," he offered. "Try not to...judge him too badly..." He sighed as he got out of the car.

"Sam...?"

Rachel blinked and tried to take in everything that was going on around her. Sam had just vomited into her bushes and now was playing Monkey in the Middle with Puck and Finn's keys. And then they were singing little kid songs. Rachel clapped her hands to her ears when she heard how badly out of tune they were. She hoped she never had to hear such a sound again.

Finn was just standing there looking as shocked as she felt. Rachel made herself move off her doorstep to his side and clapsed his hand with her own. "Should we do something?" she murmured. She didn't want her dads hearing the commotion and think anything bad about her boyfriend and sometimes friends.

And then Sam did something to shock everyone: he leaned over and kissed Puck...on his ear. Rachel's eyes bugged as she watched the display. She had no issues with gays or drunken gay displays of affection, but kissing his ear?! Rachel didn't know how much more she could take. Releasing Finn's hand, she marched over to the two boys on the ground and practically yanked them apart. "That is enough!" she hissed.

Then all of a sudden, bright lights flashed across her vision. Rachel glanced up to see two figures getting out of a car, both looking very familiar...

"Kurt? Blaine?" Rachel called. "Is that you?"

Blaine couldn't help but look somewhat amused at whatever it was going on with the two figures out on the front lawn. He gave Kurt an understanding smile and shrugged. "It's fine. I've seen worse," he chuckled, before getting out of the car and glancing over at the two figures again. It wasn't until then that he got a good enough look to realize exactly who it was with their tongue in the larger boy's ear.

"...Sam?"

The blonde hair was a dead giveaway. Blaine couldn't forget it no matter how hard he tried. Well, he thought he had forgotten all about it completely but seeing it there in front of him instantly brought back a rush of memories. Sam Evans. He had been positive that it was him at sectionals, but he had denied it to himself until he believed his own lie to himself. And then Kurt had mentioned that he needed to help a 'Sam' but after that kiss...the idea of Kurt texting hisSam was out of the question.

But now, after seeing Sam Evans right in front of him, Blaine couldn't deny it any longer. Sam had transfered to McKinley after leaving Blaine alone at Dalton. He closed his eyes and tried to block out the vivid memories. Memories of the two of them together...And of Sam's parents walking in with those shocked and horrified expressions. Sam started ignoring his calls and his texts, refusing to talk to him at all after being caught like that. Up until he decided to finally talk to Blaine, only to end their relationship and leave Dalton forever. And Blaine hadn't seen Sam since- Not until now, anyway. He took a deep breath and decided it'd be best to just pretend it didn't happen. That was all in the past and Blaine wanted nothing to do with it now. Besides, Sam wouldn't remember him now. He was clearly drunk out of his mind.

Sam continued snacking on Puck's ear, Puck who was about unconscious at this particular point...
That's when he saw two shadows emerge from the distance. The taller figure, he noticed, had bouncy dark curls and a handsomely craved face. It...oh my god...it couldn't be...




"YOU'RE HARRY POTTER!" Sam screeched as he broke free from his macking session "THE BOY WHO LIVED!"

He dashed over to the Harry Potter look alike like a crazed fan girl! Sam when he was sober was quite in control with maintaining his inner dork in regards to Quinn and obtaining popularity...but Drunken Sam couldn't have cared less.
Sam attempted pouncing on him but once again lost his balance and fell flat on his face.

After the initial shock passed over him, Blaine greeted Rachel with a forced smile and a polite nod, opening his mouth to say something before he realized Sam was looking at him.

A sudden rush of panic washed over Blaine as he saw Sam's expression that clearly said he had recognized him. But as he ran over shouting something about Harry Potter, Blaine found himself relaxing...slightly. He still wasn't comfortable in this situation, but at least Sam wasn't in the right state of mind to clearly remember who he was, which was just how Blaine wanted it. His relationship with Sam was in the past, and now all he wanted was Kurt. Kurt wasn't like Sam, and the feelings Blaine had for Kurt were far stronger compared to anything he had ever felt in previous relationships.

When Sam fell flat on his face, the normal reaction would be to help him up. But Blaine just stood there, frozen as he looked down at Sam in shock. It was really him. After all that time of not seeing him, here was his ex-boyfriend down on the ground in front of Blaine.

"Uh...Here, let me help you," he muttered quickly, realizing that if he was going to help Kurt with the Sam problem, he would have to act as natural as possible. He knelt down on his knees and helped Sam up to a sitting position, trying not to look at his face and instead looking over at Kurt. "We should probably get him inside," he suggested quietly, still overwhelmed with everything that had happened in the last minute or so.

Kurt buried his face in his hands for a few moments as he watched Sam's total fail. How humiliating...he was going to have to make sure that Sam agreed to never ever drink again. Ever. He peeked through his fingers at Blaine, once again horrified that *this* was how his boyfriend (yes, okay he was probably getting ahead of himself there...they'd kissed, but they hadn't talked about it at all yet. He thought they were on the same page, but...no, now was not the time to get caught up in these thoughts. He needed to get Sam somewhere where he couln't cause any more damage) was going to meet another of his friends. What Blaine must think! He just hoped that Blaine wouldn't judge Sam too harshly...or judge Kurt for hanging out with him.

He couldn't help but smile as he saw Blaine helping Sam up. He quickly rushed to help steady Sam on his feet, hoping that he didn't make another face plant. He nodded his agreement to Blaine. His eyes drifted to Puck. "We'll take care of Sam if you two take care of him?" he bargained with Rachel and Finn. For some reason he suspected that the other two would have the easier job.

Rachel closed her eyes as Sam made an utter arse out of himself in front of Blaine. She thanked God that Puck wasn't concious to cause any further damage. Opening her eyes, she nodded at Kurt and Blaine, said, "We'll see you three later then." She waved to Kurt, Blaine, and Sam, turned to Finn, gestured to Puck, and together they got Puck into Rachel's house (but really it was mostly Finn).

When Finn and Rachel had finally finished dragging the drunken Puck, he had suddenly awakened. Feeling like a pile of dog shit. His head was aching and he felt as if he could vomit any second now…seriously, his stomach as like a ticking bomb. He could have exploded in any second.

His eyes darted back and forth as he examined the room. They seemed to be in some sort of pink and yellow room with dollies, gold stars and shit surrounding him. He figured it must be Berry’s since he had visited this room. Usually, for the reasons of getting into her pants…

“What happened?” he stuttered, as he rubbed his neck. It felt like someone might have sat on it. “Did you two drag me in here for a threesome or something?” He snickered at their faces entitled with pure horror. “Finn, I could show you on Berry how a real man does it…”

Kurt maneuvered Sam's arm around his shoulders and wrapped an arm around Sam's waist to steady him. His nose wrinkled as he smelled the alcohol and...vomit on Sam. Well...on the bright side, it would probably help sober him up a little faster. He eyed Blaine's pristine car and had second thoughts about getting Sam into it. "Sam...I hate to think that you might have driven here in your present condition, but dare I ask? Where exactly is your car?"

Blaine silently did the same to Sam's other arm, trying not to make eye contact with the drunken boy as Kurt talked to him. He side glanced at Kurt when he asked where Sam's car was, waiting for Sam's reply as he tried to let it sink in that this was actually Sam...here with his arm drunkenly wrapped around Blaine's shoulder, looking like he was about to pass out (or worse, get sick again while the two boys were holding him.) As hard as it was to believe, he couldn't help but wonder if there was something going on between Sam and the guy that had just been brought inside, which confused him seeing as his relationship with Sam had to be kept a secret back at Dalton. He noticed Kurt's expression when he looked over at the car, and as much as he would rather not have someone who was likely to get sick sitting in it, he figured they might not have a choice. "I don't mind having him in my car," he offered after a moment of hesitation. "If we can't find his, I mean."

Kurt nodded, feeling a little relieved knowing that Blaine recognized the current dilemma and was giving permission to take his car anyway. He smiled gratefully to Blaine. "One of us should really...sit with him. Would you rather drive?" he asked, knowing it would be really awkward for Blaine to sit in the back and watch over a drunk guy he didn't even know.

Blaine nodded casually, trying not to look eager about driving rather than sitting by Sam. Sam clearly didn't recognize him now, but Blaine sure did and that would be enough to make any car ride awkward. "Sounds good," he said with a nod as he tightened his grip on Sam and helped Kurt lead him over car and into the backseat.

Finn watched in horror as the events continued to unfold in front of him. Finally they were back in Rachel's room with Puck coming back to consiousness, which was almost worse than being passed out. At least then Finn could just drag his heavy ass back home without complaint. "Puck, you're drunk and you just made a total ass out of yourself with Sam in the front yard." Finn recited, his tone almost painful. "So you're gonna say sorry to Rachel for ralfing in her bushes and we'll go back to your place so you can sleep it off. And then I'm never hanging out with you again." That was total bullshit, and they all knew it, but at the moment Finn was tired and getting cranky from dealing with two drunk idiots for hours.

Kurt handed the keys to Blaine and slid into the back seat with Sam. "Throw up again and you're a dead man, Evans," he warned, though there was no heat behind his words.

[And...we're on the road again...]

Rachel bristled. "There is no threesome and definetely no 'showing Finn how a real man does it,'" she said firmly. "Finn is a real man and doesn't need sex 24/7 to be one. What possessed you to come to my house, of all places?" Rachel asked. "You couldn't have stayed at your own place in your drunken stupor?"

Puck was far too wasted to even make out words that made sense. Instead, he sprang on to Rachel's bed and shielded himself under the covers.
"I well nawt cum outtie until WANKAY WANKAY!" he screamed like a stubborn 4 year old throwing a temper tantrum.
