Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Blaine Anderson Mon Sep 12, 2011 10:54 am

To say that Blaine had missed Kurt would be an understatement. Dalton wasn't the same without him, and there were always their late night phone calls before they went to bed, but those still weren't anywhere near the same as actually getting to see each other all the time like they used to. But, apparently Kurt was safe with his dad always being close by to keep an eye on things, and that was more than Blaine could say for when Kurt had been at Dalton so it was good enough for him. And now they had their weekend to look forward to together, with no distractions whatsoever.

Normally it didn't take him too long to pack, but when he realized he would need to pack things other than the blazer things took a bit of extra time, but eventually he had enough clothing to get him through the weekend. It was nothing special, but he hoped the fitted jeans and black v-neck would at least look half as good as the blazer did. Honestly, he'd wear the blazer all the time if he could, though he did remember to leave the gel back at his dorm, at least.

By the time he got through the two hour drive to the Hudmel house, Blaine was already bouncing with excitement. He'd have Kurt for the entire weekend in a place where no one else knew about, so what could possibly go wrong? He parked his car outside the house and let himself out, holding back from practically prancing up to the front door where he rung the doorbell, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he waited for Kurt to answer.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Kurt Hummel Sat Nov 05, 2011 1:43 pm

Kurt was having trouble keeping his nerves in check as he finished packing for his weekend getaway with Blaine. He was excited, of course, but part of him was starting to freak out as well. What if...what if he wasn't really ready for this? It would be horrible if he started something and then...couldn't go through with it. Or what if Blaine wasn't ready? How embarassing would that be if he practically threw himself at his boyfriend only to get pushed away? Or worse, if Blaine only claimed to be ready because he thought Kurt would be upset if he didn't want to and then things'd be awkward and they'd end up breaking up and...

He was really overthinking everything again. He'd...just bring the stuff he'd bought. If they didn't end up needing it, okay, but if they were both ready--and he really felt he was, despite his nerves--he'd be prepared.

His heart beat faster and he couldn't help but glance nervously at his bedroom door, paranoid that Finn, Alex, Carole, or god forbid, DAD decided to pick this moment to come in, unanounced. He quickly filled the rest of his toiletry/skin-care routine bag with the wide variety of products he'd picked up in an excruciatingly embarassing field trip to the Lima Drug and zipped the bag closed. [I'm so writing a Lima Drug Field Trip post...]

He'd already packed more than enough clothes for the couple days--he wasn't entirely sure what he might need to dress for, so he'd packed a wide range of outfits from very dressy, to the jersey he'd procured from Blaine, to a what he hoped would pass for sexy mesh club shirt, and of course his favorite cuddly chenille sweatter and...God, Blaine was going to die when he saw how much stuff Kurt was bringing for just a weekend trip! He bit his lip as he stared at the fully packed bags that were sitting on his bed. Maybe he should try and eliminate some--

He flinched as he heard the doorbell ring.

It was too late. Blaine was here, so he couldn't--

He smiled brightly, all his nerves suddenly calming as he realized again: Blaine was here! He made a small excited squeeing noise as he grabbed his bags and hurried to get the door. He hadn't seen Blaine in...what felt like forever, though it had only been a couple days. He set down his bags, took one final moment to check himself over and then opened the door.

"Blaine!" he greeted warmly, glancing over his shoulder to make sure that his dad wasn't in sight before he reached out to grasp Blaine's shirt and pulled him in for an enthusiastic greeting kiss.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Blaine Anderson Sat Nov 05, 2011 2:31 pm

[Ohmygod, I can’t wait to read that. Hehe. Oh Kurt<3]

Blaine rocked back on his heels as he waited for his boyfriend to answer the door, and as much as he had missed him, the first thing he noticed as the door opened was the amount of bags Kurt had with him. Before he had a chance to voice his amusement, Kurt was pulling him in for a lovely ‘hello’ kiss, and Blaine happily returned it as he wrapped a loose arm around Kurt’s waist and leaned into his boyfriend. He had never really thought about just how much he loved spending all his time with Kurt, but now that he was up at Dalton without him, it had definitely made a difference not being able to see him every day, not to mention having to sleep alone all the time.

His eyes were completely lit up as he eventually pulled back from the kiss, his hazel eyes meeting Kurt’s as he kept his arm wrapped lightly around his lower back. “Hello to you too,” he greeted with a light laugh, before leaning in to press a chaste kiss against Kurt’s lips. “Miss me?”

"Every single moment," Kurt admitted, hugging his boyfriend tight.

[I know, monumentally short post. I was busy w/ the Lima Drug and now am out of time. Might be able to get back on later tonight. *crosses fingers*]

[It's a lovely post. <3 Trololol. Bye for now!]

Blaine smiled at Kurt's answer, hugging him tighter as he brushed his lips against his cheek for one last kiss before pulling his head back to look Kurt in the eyes. "The feeling is very mutual," he assured him, letting his eyes linger on his boyfriend's face as he rested both hands on Kurt's hips. "So," he began, shooting Kurt a serious look despite how excited he was. "Are you ready for the most amazing weekend getaway of your life?" He glanced past Kurt, smirking slightly at the sight of all the bags he had packed. "And...do you need a hand with your bags? I'm not sure you packed enough," he commented, flashing his boyfriend a playful smile as he returned his gaze back to Kurt's eyes.

Kurt's eyes lit up even more as he nodded and let out another little squee when Blaine asked if he was ready for an amazing weekend. He couldn't wait to find out what all Blaine had planned for them. And he couldn't wait to surprise Blaine with a few plans of his own. He blushed, thinking of what was in his skin care bag...and the other things that he'd hidden in his clothing bags. "And yes, if you could go grab the rest of my bags from my room, I'll load these into the car," Kurt responded, barely managing to keep a completely straight face.

Post  Blaine Anderson Sun Nov 06, 2011 6:45 pm

Blaine's eyebrows arched up at Kurt's comment, as if unsure of whether his boyfriend was messing with him or not. "Kurt, you are aware that a weekend is two days, right?" he asked with a light laugh. "30 day long trips are called a month," he teased, glancing once at the bags then back to Kurt. He had to admit, as ridiculous as it was, it was certainly endearing. "What in the world could you have possibly packed?"

"If you play your cards right, I'll let you find out later," Kurt teased lightly, planting a kiss on the top of Blaine's nose. "I may have overpacked," he admitted. "But you'll be happy to know that I did manage to fit everything into these bags, I was kidding about there being more. Now let's go before my father changes his mind about not giving you the requisite father-threatening-boyfriend-with-bodily-harm chat." He picked up his bags, handing the lighter one to Blaine to carry.

Blaine shot his boyfriend a confused look, but it instantly faded away and turned into a smile as Kurt pressed a light kiss to his nose. "Did you now?" Well, that was a relief. "And you'll be happy to know that I managed to pack outfits other than the blazer," he confessed, a playful smile on his lips as he gestured to the school uniform he still had on from class. "Thought you might enjoy that," he teased, winking over at Kurt as he took the bag from him to bring it over to his car waiting out in front.

"Now let's go before my father changes his mind about not giving you the requisite father-threatening-boyfriend-with-bodily-harm chat."

Burt actually had changed his mind. Not that he intended to threaten bodily harm, of course, but he did want to have a word with the boys before they left. He'd let them have a couple minutes of privacy before stepping out onto the front steps.

"Hey, Kurt, Blaine," he called out to them as he watched them packing Kurt's bags into the car. "I promise I won't hold you up long, but I do want to talk to you before you take off if you'd come back in for a minute."

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

"I said 'may have,'" Kurt pouted a little. "Despite some of their horrifically homophobic policies, I can appreciate the Boy Scouts' motto to always be prepared. Since I wasn't sure what to expect, I had to pack extra outfits to make sure I had something appropriate. And one simply can not skimp on skin care just because one is having a fabulous get-away," he defended his excessive luggage.

He grinned as Blaine promised that he had brought something other than his Dalton uniform. "Oh, I do," he practically purred as Blaine told him that he thought he'd enjoy that. He started to lean in to emphasize his appreciation when he heard his dad calling out. He quickly drew back, and turned to his father, trying to appear the picture of innocence. "Okay, Dad!" he called out. He glanced apologetically at Blaine and reached down to take his boyfriend's hand. "Just remember, he's mostly harmless," he assured Blaine under his breath.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Blaine Anderson Tue Nov 08, 2011 11:51 am

Blaine mirrored Kurt's pout, trying to hide his amusement in the fact that his boyfriend had completely overpacked for their trip. "Well, I think it's adorable," he admitted, smiling over at Kurt as he set his bag into the back of the car. "I'm sure you'll be teasing me plenty when I'm realizing just how much I forgot to pack."

He smiled as Kurt leaned into him, his eyes dropping to Kurt's lips as he went to lean in, as well, only to have them be interrupted by Kurt's dad. Flashing a small, confident smile at Kurt, Blaine intertwined his fingers with his boyfriend as he walked over with him towards the Hummel home. "Mostly?" he mused under his breath, arching an eyebrow at his boyfriend before turning to greet Burt Hummel with a friendly, charming smile.

"Hello, Mr. Hummel," he greeted cheerfully. "I hope you're doing well. Dalton's really not the same without Kurt there, but I'm glad he's at least safe here with you and his family."

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Kurt Hummel Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:06 am

Kurt had to stifle a giggle when he heard Blaine's uttered question. It was true, his dad was a big old teddy bear most of the time, but like most bears he was a bit growly, and could turn fast if his family was threatened. He didn't think his dad would really see Blaine as a threat. Still, he instinctively linked his arm with Blaine's, and eyed his father appraisingly, feeling protective.

He couldn't help but lose a little bit of his smile as Blaine mentioned his not being at Dalton anymore. He was happy to be home, but he also missed it horribly. Well, to be honest, the only things he really missed were the friends he'd made and of course, it was mostly Blaine that he missed seeing every day...and every night.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Burt Hummel Sat Nov 12, 2011 10:03 am

"I'm doing great," Burt replied to Blaine's greeting, though there was an edge to his voice that betrayed his stress. He still wasn't sure he'd done the right thing pulling Kurt out of school, but he did feel more confident that he'd be able to keep him safer here. Burt didn't miss the warning look that Kurt was giving him and bit back a slight against Dalton how they--and by extension Blaine--hadn't kept Kurt safe. Blaine really did seem like a nice kid, and Burt knew that the other boy made Kurt happy in a way he hadn't ever seen Kurt happy.

Still, he had to be sure he was doing the right thing by letting Kurt go away on this trip, and be away from that protection again so soon. He wasn't sure he was ready to let Kurt out of his sight, but he knew Kurt was already feeling punished by the situation, even if that was never the intent. Plus, he'd let Finn go off for a weekend with his girl. Then again, see how that had turned out. Not that Kurt and Blaine could actually get married...unless they went to Iowa or something. He mentally added that to the short list of things he wanted to go over with them before they left.

"I don't know if Kurt's told you about our talk with Karofsky," he started out. "The kid has assured us that he's now taking responsibility for his actions and turning over a new leaf and all that...and I want to believe him. I know Kurt does, too." He spoke in a way that indicated that he didn't. "But I've got to know that if anything--and mean anything--happens, you take it seriously. You get a hang up phone call. You even think you see his car. Anything. Promise me you call me right away." Instead of looking at Kurt when he requested the promise, he looked straight at Blaine. "No matter how much Kurt here protests, or denies there's a problem, or pleads not to stress me out," he added.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Blaine Anderson Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:29 pm

"Not exactly," Blaine answered, casting a side glance over at Kurt before turning back to Mr. Hummel again. "But I'm really glad to hear that." It sounded nice, of course, but Blaine couldn't bring himself to believe it. He had been the one to always come close to saving Kurt, but he was too late every time, and if anything ever would have happened, Blaine knew he'd never forgive himself. He'd seen the marks Kurt had received from Karofsky's attacks, and he knew that what the boy needed was some sort of doctor or psychiatrist to talk to.

Blaine had never been more serious than as he listened to Burt's words. Kurt had wanted to keep the whole Karofsky issue a secret from his dad, and it had been Blaine's mistake to agree, one he wouldn't be making again. He had failed in keeping Kurt safe at Dalton, and he wasn't planning on doing it again.

"Look, I know it's a big deal for you to trust us to go away for the weekend, but I promise that Kurt's safety is at the very top of my list too. If anything at all happens, you'll be the first one to know." The bed and breakfast was really sort of out of the way, and not a lot of people really knew about it, so Blaine was positive they'd have to weekend to themselves, without any interruptions, Karofsky especially included.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Kurt Hummel Sat Nov 12, 2011 4:52 pm

Kurt rolled his eyes a little bit as his father elicited the promise from Blaine. He knew it was being done out of love, but it really was embarassing. Especially since he was fairly sure that even if he didn't trust Karofsky not to be a problem ever again, he was fairly certain that the guy would leave him alone at least until all the attention died down. Besides, he really wasn't worried that Karofsky would turn up anywhere he and Blaine were going this weekend; especially since he himself didn't even know where it was. He didn't doubt that Karofsky was crazy enough to follow him somewhere, but he was also pretty confident that Karofsky would be lying low at least until things had settled some. Which meant that once he and Blaine left for this getaway, he'd be able to let his guard down and just enjoy a romantic weekend with the boy he loved. He smiled at Blaine's declaration of keeping him safe, but quirked an eyebrow and blushed a little bit as Blaine promised to let Burt know about anything that happened. He knew Blaine meant anything about Karofsky, but still!

"There will be nothing that needs reported," he assured them both firmly. "In fact, once we leave I'll be safer because Karofsky won't know where I am. And there will not be any hang up or other calls because my phone will be turned off this entire weekend," he informed his father. "Don't worry, I'm sure Blaine will have his if we need it, and if there is an emergency here at home, you can call him."

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Burt Hummel Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:17 pm

Burt ignored Kurt's assurance that there would be nothing to report. "I don't just mean call me about the Karofsky kid. Call me if you need anything or someone gets sick, or if you have car troubles or...just for any reason at all," he requested. He knew he was letting his worry start to get the better of him, and was likely to start embarrassing Kurt by being too protective or making them stay at the "Hummel Resort".

He rose back to his feet, pulling Kurt in for a quick hug. "You two be safe this weekend." He grinned fondly as he reached out to ruffle Kurt's hair. "And no coming back married," he added, only mostly kidding. Then again, Iowa wasn't that far away...he eyed Blaine critically for a moment. Nah. They wouldn't dare. Besides, Kurt had been planning his wedding since before he was old enough to know what a wedding was. There was no way the kid would elope. "In fact, if you'd just do me a favor and give a quick call when you get there, just to let me know you got there safe."

"Of course. You'll be the first one we call if anything goes wrong, and I promise you'll get a phone call the second we get up there." A small smile appeared across Blaine's lips at Burt's joke-- at least Blaine thought it was a joke. "No weddings." Not for another few years anyway. Blaine at least wanted to graduate college first.

He watched as Burt leaned in to hug Kurt, a soft distant look in his eyes as he kept quiet. He knew he shouldn't feel jealous, and he didn't. He really was happy for Kurt and the relationship with his dad, but a large part of him really did envy it, but that much he could at least keep to himself.

Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away Empty Re: Kurt and Blaine's Weekend Away

Post  Kurt Hummel Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:19 pm

Kurt hugged his father back, knowing how hard it was for his dad to let him go on this trip. He knew his dad only wanted to protect him, and he loved that, and the way his dad always made him feel safe. He did, however, have to slap his dad's hands away from his hair and scowl exaggeratedly as he smoothed his hair back into place. Not that he'd ever let his dad know, but he didn't really mind it that much when his father teased him by messing up his hair. At least not as long as it wasn't a special occasion where he'd spent more time than usual styling...and so long as he was able to fix it before going public.

He knew his dad was joking when he mentioned not coming back married, but managed to look absolutely scandalized by the notion, anyway. "Do you have any idea how many hours--years--I would have wasted planning my nuptial ceremony to just elope?" he scolded. He could definitely see himself marrying Blaine and living happily ever after, but first he had to make sure he established his career, whether it be on Broadway or in fashion design or whatever other fabulous niche he carved out for himself. After all, he had to be able to afford the lavish ceremony (and subsequent vow renewal ceremonies) he imagined. Besides, he knew that no one really went into marriage thinking it wouldn't last the rest of their lives, but...he really was a romantic at heart and firmly believed that it really would only happen for him once. He was in it for all or nothing.

But he wouldn't scare Blaine off with talk of that...yet.

He could feel a nervous fluttering in his stomach as he heard Blaine promise that they'd call as soon as they got to their destination. They were really going! He smiled as he reached down to curl his hand around Blaine's, entwining their fingers. "Now, if there is nothing else...?" he prompted, smiling sweetly at his father, looking for permission to be whisked away on his romantic weekend getaway.

Burt chuckled at Kurt's indignant look and quick denial of any intention to get married. He really hadn't thought the boys would do such a thing--especially after Kurt had seen how upset it had made him and Carole when Finn and Rachel had eloped. "Nah, you guys can go ahead and get on the road," he replied, ruffling Kurt's hair one more time. "Just be careful, and call me for any reason whatsoever," he repeated, pulling Kurt into another hug. "That goes for both of you," he added, reaching out to briefly grasp Blaine's shoulder and give him a lopsided smile.

"We'll be very careful," Blaine assured, smiling at Kurt's dad as he gave Kurt's hand a light squeeze. "Thank you, Mr. Hummel," he added with a small nod, knowing that it was a big deal to let Kurt go off on his own and that it must have taken a great deal of trust, especially after everything that had happened. He rubbed his thumb along the back of Kurt's hand, a small smile spreading across his lips as he looked over at his boyfriend. "You ready?"

"Well, I'm not sure that I packed everything I need..." Kurt joked self-depreiciatively, his eyes shining. He briefly turned back to his father for his talk. "Now, don't forget, no cheating on your diet just because I'm not here to keep an eye on it. I'll know. Give Carole a kiss goodbye for me," he added in a rush. He leaned in to give his dad a kiss on the cheek before turning back to Blaine.

"Now, I'm ready," he announced enthusiastically, his face almost glowing with anticipation of their weekend.

Blaine's eyes stayed on his boyfriend, an amused glint in his hazel eyes as Kurt left his father a checklist. As soon as Kurt was ready to go, Blaine's expression lit up and he wished Mr. Hummel one last goodbye before taking Kurt's hand and leading him back to the car, leaning over to kiss his boyfriend on the cheek before he opened up the car door for Kurt, like the gentleman he was. "After you," he smiled, gesturing to the seat as he locked his eyes on Kurt's, a soft, adoring smile painted across his face as he looked over at his boyfriend.

"Why merci, Mr. Anderson," Kurt thanked affectionately, briefly draping his arms around Blaine's shoulders as he leaned in to plant another kiss on his boyfriend's lips. He would have been reluctant to pull away, but he was too excited by the promise of an entire weekend together, away from everything. He could feel himself almost shaking with anticipation as he climbed into the car.

Blaine leaned into the kiss, smiling even after Kurt pulled away and got into the car. Waiting until his boyfriend was comfortably seated, Blaine shut the door and made his way over to the driver's side. "Excited?" he asked with a grin, already knowing the answer as he started up the car and pulled away from the Hudmel house. "I really hope you like it," he admitted, his eyes briefly shifting away from the road to look over at Kurt. "It's no New York resort, but it's far away from everything and it'll be just the two of us for the entire weekend."
